Monday’s MLB Strikeout Prop Bets: Three Favorites

Padres vs. Rockies, 8:40 p.m. ET

Despite Austin Gomber’s low strikeout rate against current San Diego Padres hitters, we believe this number is too low. The Rockies left-hander has exceeded 3.5 Ks in three of his four starts this season, and his whiff and K rates are at their highest since 2021. Additionally, the Padres strike out more frequently against left-handed pitchers.

Brewers vs. Pirates, 6:40 p.m. ET

Fading Jared Jones, who has recorded at least seven Ks in all four of his starts, may seem risky. However, the Milwaukee Brewers are known for their high chase rate and wOBA. While Jones may be an excellent pitcher, the Brewers’ patience and ability to capitalize on his fastballs may pose a challenge.

Marlins vs. Braves, 7:20 p.m. ET

Ryan Weathers has been a standout for the Miami Marlins this season. He is on pace for career highs in strikeout rate, whiff rate, chase contact rate, and zone contact rate. The Atlanta Braves have a dangerous lineup, but they also struggle with zone contact and whiff rate. Weathers’ ability to induce swings and misses could be advantageous in this matchup.
