Xavi is reportedly set to make a sensational U-turn and continue as Barcelona coach, according to sources in Spain. The legendary Barca midfielder announced his departure in January after a string of poor results. However, things have since improved for the club.
Mundo Deportivo claims that Xavi is now reconsidering his decision to leave. He is expected to meet with president Joan Laporta, vice president Rafa Yuste, and sporting director Deco to discuss his future.
Xavi’s decision to stay is said to be influenced by the successful integration of several La Masia graduates into the first team. He has also been encouraged by the support of senior players and the club’s fans.
Furthermore, Xavi is reportedly seeking a marquee signing to bolster his youthful side. He is a known admirer of Manchester City’s Bernardo Silva, but a move for Dani Olmo is also being considered. Barcelona have reportedly already met with RB Leipzig regarding a potential transfer for the Spanish forward.
