AAP MP Swati Maliwal Alleges Assault by Kejriwal’s Aide

According to media reports, Maliwal made two PCR calls from the Chief Minister’s residence, alleging that she was ‘assaulted’ by Kejriwal’s personal assistant, Bibhav Kumar. Sources in the Delhi Police have confirmed receiving the calls. DCP (North) Manoj Meena stated that a PCR call was received around 9.34 am, in which the lady caller reported being assaulted inside the CM house. The local police responded to the call and reached the spot. Maliwal later visited the Civil Lines police station but left without filing a complaint.

BJP leaders have condemned the alleged incident and accused Kejriwal of instigating the assault. New Delhi BJP candidate Ajay Sehrawat said, “We got shameful news today that after getting instigated by Arvind Kejriwal, his OSD has beaten and misbehaved with one of their party’s MP Swati Maliwal.” BJP’s IT cell chief Amit Malviya also commented on the incident, stating that Maliwal had remained silent during Kejriwal’s arrest and was not even in India at the time.

As of now, neither Swati Maliwal nor the Delhi Police have made any official statement on the alleged incident. It is expected that a formal complaint will be filed soon and a thorough investigation will be conducted.
