Evenepoel Wins Stage 7 Time Trial on Tour de France

Remco Evenepoel of Belgium secured his first ever stage victory in the Tour de France, dominating the seventh stage, a 25.3-kilometer individual time trial held on Friday. Evenepoel clocked a winning time of 28 minutes and 52 seconds, narrowly edging out the reigning yellow jersey holder, Tadej Pogacar, by a mere 12 seconds.

Despite the stage win, Pogacar successfully maintained his overall lead, holding a 33-second advantage over Evenepoel. Fellow Slovenian Primoz Roglic claimed third place, finishing 34 seconds behind Evenepoel. Defending champion Jonas Vingegaard rounded out the top four, trailing Roglic by just three seconds.

This thrilling time trial further intensified the competition in the Tour de France, setting the stage for a captivating battle for the yellow jersey in the upcoming stages.
