Enforcement Directorate (ED) ne Karnataka ke Chief Minister Siddaramaiah se jude ek MUDA (Mysore Urban Development Authority) ‘scam’ mein Rs 100 crore ki properties attach kar di hain. Kya Hai Yeh MUDA Scam?
Basically, ED ko shak hai ki MUDA sites ko allot karne mein bada ghotala hua hai. Unka kehna hai ki rules aur government orders ko side mein rakh kar fraud tarike se yeh allotments kiye gaye. Ismein housing cooperative societies aur kuch individuals ke naam par properties register ki gayi hain, jo asal mein influential logon ke ‘front’ ya ‘dummy’ hain, including MUDA officials.
ED Ka Action, Ab Tak Kya Hua?
ED ne ab tak Rs 400 crore ki properties attach ki hain. Recently, 92 MUDA sites attach ki gayi hain jinki market value Rs 100 crore hai. Isse pehle, 160 MUDA sites attach ki gayi thi, jinki value around Rs 300 crore thi. ED ka kehna hai ki yeh sab ‘proceeds of crime’ hain, matlab yeh sab illegal tareeke se kamaye gaye paise se bana hai.
Siddaramaiah Ka Kya Role Hai?
ED ne Lokayukta Police Mysore dwara file ki gayi FIR ke basis par investigation shuru ki. FIR mein Siddaramaiah aur anya logon par IPC aur Prevention of Corruption Act ke under charges lagaye gaye hain. ED ka kehna hai ki investigation mein pata chala hai ki MUDA sites ko allot karne mein bade paimane par ‘scam’ hua hai.
Kaun Kaun Involved Hai?
ED ke mutabik, former MUDA commissioners, jaise ki GT Dinesh Kumar, ka bhi important role raha hai. Un par aarop hai ki unhone ineligible logon ko compensation sites illegally allot kiye. Agency ne bribe transactions ke evidence bhi collect kiye hain, jo cash, bank transfer, movable aur immovable properties ke roop mein diye gaye the.

ED ne bataya ki illegal allotments fake aur incomplete documents ke through kiye gaye. Government orders ko bhi ignore kiya gaya aur allotment letters ko backdate kiya gaya. Jo ‘gratification’ mila, use cooperative society aur MUDA officers ke relatives ke bank accounts ke through route kiya gaya. Phir us paise se illegally allot ki gayi MUDA sites kharidi gayi.
Karnataka High Court Ka Decision
