While Councilor Ed Flynn may hold reservations about the 26.TRUE marathon, his criticisms are unfounded. Having volunteered at a cheer/aid station, I witnessed firsthand the respectful behavior of runners and the enthusiastic support of the public. The event drew concertgoers into the festivities, fostering a sense of community. As an individual outside the typical demographic, I recognize the vital role that groups like 26.TRUE, PIONEERS Run Crew, and TrailblazHers Run Co. play in promoting inclusivity and well-being in Boston. Their efforts deserve praise, not criticism.
