In a significant move for both sports and tourism in Saudi Arabia, flynas, the world’s leading low-cost airline and the top LCC in the Middle East, has announced a landmark sponsorship agreement with Al-Hilal Al-Saudi Club Company. This new partnership designates flynas as the official air carrier for Al-Hilal for four sports seasons, extending through the 2027-2028 season.
This collaboration aligns perfectly with Saudi Vision 2030, the ambitious plan to diversify the Saudi economy and enhance the role of sports in achieving this goal. The agreement, signed by flynas CEO Bander Almohanna and Al-Hilal Al-Saudi Club Company Chairman Fahad bin Saad bin Nafel, represents a strong commitment from both parties to elevate the Saudi sports landscape.
Bander Almohanna emphasized that flynas’ entry into the sports sector signifies a commitment to supporting the growth of the industry and its role in boosting tourism. He noted that this partnership will offer extensive services and products tailored to travelers’ needs, aligning with flynas’ global growth strategy. Almohanna highlighted that Al-Hilal Club’s success both locally and globally fits well with flynas’ mission to connect the world to Saudi Arabia, a growing hub for international sports events.
Fahad bin Saad bin Nafel praised the exclusive partnership, calling it one of Al-Hilal’s most significant recent deals. He noted that the agreement will benefit both parties and contribute to the integration of economic and sports sectors, supporting the objectives of Vision 2030.
Since its launch in 2007, flynas has expanded its network to over 70 domestic and international destinations, operating more than 1,500 weekly flights and serving over 80 million passengers. The airline plans to grow its destination network to 165 as part of its strategic expansion under the slogan “We connect the world to the Kingdom,” in alignment with Vision 2030. This partnership with Al-Hilal is a significant step in realizing this vision, highlighting the importance of collaboration between the sports and tourism sectors in driving economic growth and national development.
