Gas Prices Hike, Shares Dip: Aaj Ka Business Update
Hey guys, suna hai gas prices badh rahe hain? Isse Mahanagar Gas aur Indraprastha Gas ke shares mein girvavat dekhi ja rahi hai. Wednesday ko market analysis mein yeh baat saamne aayi. Mahanagar Gas ke shares 6% girkar Rs 1,230.50 pe aa gaye, jabki Indraprastha Gas ke shares 4% girkar Rs 172 pe pahunch gaye. GAIL, Gujarat State Petronet, aur Gujarat Gas jaisi companies ke shares bhi 1% tak niche gir gaye.
Kya Hua Tha?
Mahanagar Gas ne bataya ki 16 April se unke liye cheaper domestic gas (APM) ka allocation 18% kam kar diya gaya hai. Iski jagah unhe New Well/Well Intervention gas diya ja raha hai, jo comparatively costly hai. Indraprastha Gas ko bhi 20% kam APM gas mila hai, lekin unhe shortfall se 125% zyada New Well Gas diya gaya hai, jo Indian Crude Basket ke 12% price pe hai.
Sarkaar Ka Kya Kehna Hai?
Yeh sab sarkaar ke new policy guidelines ke hisab se ho raha hai. Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas ne kaha hai ki city gas distribution companies ko APM gas sirf priority sectors jaise ki domestic piped gas aur CNG ke liye hi use karna chahiye. Aur yeh allocation limited hai GAIL ke through jitna gas available hai.
APM Gas Kya Hai?
APM gas woh gas hota hai jo India ke purane domestic fields se aata hai. Yeh gas city gas distributors ko kam price pe milta hai, jisse woh CNG aur piped gas gharon aur vehicles mein supply karte hain.
Impact on Companies
Agar APM gas kam milega, toh companies ko zyada paise dene padenge gas ke liye. Agar woh yeh cost consumers pe nahi daalenge, toh unke profits kam ho sakte hain. BofA experts ke according, companies ko zyada expensive LNG pe depend nahi karna padega, kyunki New Well Gas mil raha hai. Unka kehna hai ki CNG price mein Rs 0.7 to 0.9 per kg ka hike karke companies apna loss recover kar sakti hain.
