Indian Army Foils Pakistani BAT Attack in Jammu and Kashmir

The Indian Army successfully foiled an attack by Pakistan’s Border Action Team (BAT) in the Kamakari sector of Kupwara in Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday. According to military sources, one Pakistani intruder was killed during the operation. The Border Action Team (BAT) is known to consist of special forces personnel from the Pakistan Army and terrorists.

The BAT attack targeted Indian forces along the Line of Control. Sources believe that the BAT team involved in the attack included regular Pakistan Army troops, including their SSG commandos. The Indian Army troops were able to thwart the attack due to their alertness and swift response.

Five Indian Army personnel sustained injuries during the operation. Further details about the operation are still awaited.
