Jelly Roll Receives Support from Flavor Flav and Wife Bunnie XO Amid Bodyshaming

Country music star Jelly Roll, born Jason Bradley DeFord, has been facing bodyshaming and bullying on social media. In response, his longtime friend and fellow rapper Flavor Flav took to Instagram to denounce the hate comments.

“How dare y’all try to judge my man about his weight and his character? Let me tell you something, this man is winning awards for his music, okay?” Flavor Flav said on Instagram Stories.

He continued, “This man’s music has been giving a lot of people hope that’s stranded in the streets, locked up in jail, people that’s on drugs, you know what I’m saying?”

Flavor Flav praised Jelly Roll’s kind personality, calling him “the absolute nicest” person he knows. He advised the haters to “take a step back and judge yourself.”

Jelly Roll’s wife, Bunnie XO, also spoke out against the bodyshaming on her podcast, “Dumb Blonde.” “My husband got off the internet because he is so tired of being bullied about his f***ing weight,” she said.

Despite the negativity, Jelly Roll remains focused on his health and fitness journey. He is preparing to run in the 2 Bears 5k on May 7 and has reported significant weight loss. “I’ve been really kicking a** man. I’m doing two to three miles a day, four to six days a week,” Jelly Roll told People Magazine.

Jelly Roll’s journey has been inspiring to many, proving that it is possible to overcome negativity and achieve personal goals.
