Pichle mahine, Kerala coast par ek Liberian ship, MSC Elsa 3, doob gayi thi. Ab iske owner, master, aur crew ke khilaaf case darj kiya gaya hai. Police ne rash navigation ka case lagaya hai. Chaliye, jante hain kya hai poora maamla.
FIR Darj: Kya Hai Aarop?
Fort Kochi Coastal police station ne FIR darj ki hai. Isme sections 282, 285, 286, 287 aur 288 ke tehat case register hua hai. Aarop hai ki ship ke owners aur crew ne laparwahi se kaam liya. Ship mein combustible aur explosive cargo tha, jo ki insani jaan aur property ke liye khatarnak tha. Isi wajah se ship 24-25 May ko Alappuzha district ke paas doob gayi.
Cargo ka Nuksaan aur Fishing Community ki Pareshani
FIR mein yeh bhi kaha gaya hai ki ship mein plastic materials bhi the, jo ki sea mein fail gaye. Isse environment ko bahut nuksaan hua hai aur fishing community ki livelihood par bhi asar pada hai. Unhe lakhon rupaye ka nuksaan hua hai.

Yeh case C Shamji naam ke ek aadmi ne darj karaya hai, jo Alappuzha district se hain. Unki complaint par police ne action liya hai.
Congress ka Hamla: Sarkar par Sawal
Kerala Congress ne state government ko criticise kiya hai ki unhone shipwreck ke connection mein case darj karne mein itni der kyu ki. Congress leader K C Venugopal ne Facebook post mein yeh bhi aarop lagaya ki state aur central government ne koi action nahi liya kyuki shipping company ke Adani Group ke saath business relations hain. Unhone kaha ki Congress ke persistent demands ki wajah se police action hua hai.
Government ka Response: Wreckage ko Disaster Declare Kiya
Pichle mahine, state government ne cargo ship ke wreckage ko state-specific disaster declare kiya tha. Kerala government ne vessel owner se nuksaan ki poori responsibility lene ko kaha tha.
Ship mein Kya Tha?
Ship Thottappally se 14.6 nautical miles door doobi thi. Ismein 640 containers the, jismein se 13 mein hazardous cargo tha aur 12 mein calcium carbide tha. Iske alawa, 84.44 MT diesel aur 367.1 MT furnace oil bhi tha.
Fuel Leakage Roki Gayi
Ministry of Defence ke mutabik, fuel leakage ko rokne ke liye diving operations kiye gaye the, jo 10 June tak safalta se poore ho gaye. Abhi bhi ek main engine lube oil tank se leakage rokne ki koshish jaari hai.
Container Salvage Operations Jaari
Onshore, container salvage operations chal rahe hain. 56 containers port par deliver kiye ja chuke hain aur chaar aur recovery ke process mein hain. Marine Emergency Response Centre (MERC) aur volunteers Thiruvananthapuram aur Kanyakumari mein beach clean-up kar rahe hain.
