Manor Lords, the upcoming medieval strategy game, has garnered significant attention, becoming Steam’s most wishlisted game. Developed by Slavic Magic and published by Hooded Horse, the game has been in development for years, and its price has now been revealed.
Hooded Horse CEO Tim Bender stated that the game will not follow the trend of AAA pricing, which has been a source of controversy recently. He emphasized that the publisher is not aiming to extract every last dollar from players and that Manor Lords will have a fair price at launch with a discount.
Bender further mentioned Hooded Horse’s previous Early Access strategies, which included launch discounts ranging from 10-25% in the first few weeks. This suggests that any launch discounts for Manor Lords will likely not disappear quickly.
To ensure fair pricing worldwide, regional pricing will be implemented. Unlike other games, Manor Lords will not offer pre-orders due to Steam’s distribution platform restrictions on pre-orders and preloads. Bender also cautioned against purchasing codes for the game from keyshops.
As of now, Steam and Xbox Game Pass are the only reliable sources to acquire Manor Lords. The game’s price is still a mystery, but it is expected to be revealed soon to prevent false listings from digital retailers.
