Melania Trump has returned to the fundraising scene amidst her husband Donald’s criminal trial, promoting a Mother’s Day necklace she designed. The former first lady created the “Her Love & Gratitude” necklace, featuring a one-inch flower pendant on an adjustable gold vermeil chain.
While her husband stands trial in New York, Melania is not publicly supporting him but has subtly re-engaged with Trump’s presidential campaign. She organized a fundraiser for the Log Cabin Republicans, an organization supporting LGBTQ+ GOP members, at Mar-a-Lago.
Melania has a history with the organization, receiving an award from them in 2021. She and Trump were also seen together at a fundraiser earlier this month at the Palm Beach home of hedge fund billionaire John Paulson.
Contributions from the fundraiser went to the Trump 47 Committee through a collaborative arrangement with the Republican National Committee, state Republican parties, and Save America. However, the RNC has expressed concerns that the funds could be used to cover Trump’s legal expenses.
Despite the ongoing trial and legal battles, sources close to Melania claim she is keeping up with the news surrounding Trump’s hush money trial, but is reportedly upset that Trump has drawn their son, Barron, into the issue.
