“This is seriously the easiest way to poach an egg, and so much quicker too – all you need is a mug and a microwave. We want to show you that healthy eating can be quick and easy too.” said Dannii.

Here’s how to achieve the perfect microwave poached egg:

Ingredients:

* 1 egg
* 130ml of room temperature water
* A mug
* A plate
* A spoon
* Toothpick or knife
* Paper towels

Method:

1. Pour the water into a mug, then gently crack the egg into the water.
2. Use a toothpick or sharp knife to carefully pierce the egg yolk a couple of times to prevent it from exploding in the microwave.
3. Place the mug in the microwave, cover the top of the mug with a plate, and cook on high for 30 seconds.
4. Remove the plate and check the egg. If the whites are fully cooked and set, your poached egg is ready!

The cooking time may vary slightly depending on the wattage of your microwave. You may need to experiment to find the perfect timing for your appliance.
