Mumbai and its neighboring areas are expected to face a spell of thunderstorms and rain within the upcoming few hours, as per the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), Mumbai. According to the IMD’s forecast, isolated areas in Thane, Raigad, Palghar, Ratnagiri, Sindhudurg, Sangli, Beed, Jalna, Nasik, Pune, and Satara are likely to experience thunderstorms accompanied by lightning, moderate rain, and gusty winds reaching speeds of 40-50 kilometers per hour. These weather conditions are anticipated to persist for the next 3-4 hours. The IMD advises residents in the affected areas to take necessary precautions and stay updated on weather conditions.
