Modi’s Visit to Kumbh Mela 2025
Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the Maha Kumbh Mela in [[Prayagraj]] today. He took a boat ride to Sangam, accompanied by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Thousands of devotees were present to greet the Prime Minister.
The Significance of Maha Kumbh
The Maha Kumbh Mela, which started on January 13 and will continue until February 26, 2025, is the world’s largest spiritual gathering. Millions of devotees from all over the globe are attending this mega event. They are taking part in rituals, prayers, and religious discourses.
Development Initiatives at Prayagraj
This visit follows Modi’s earlier trip to Prayagraj on December 13, where he inaugurated 167 development projects worth Rs 5,500 crore. The Maha Kumbh has also spurred investment in the city. Investments are done on roads, sanitation, security, and digital services.
Bhutan’s Royal Visit
Bhutan’s King Jigme Khesar Namgyal Wangchuk also visited the Maha Kumbh 2025. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath accompanied the King. The Bhutanese monarch took part in spiritual activities, visited the Lete Hanuman Mandir, and checked out the Digital Mahakumbh Experience Centre.

Mr. Adityanath shared on social media about the Bhutanese King’s visit to the Digital Mahakumbh Experience Centre, highlighting the blend of spirituality and modernity. The King also visited Shri Akshayvat Ji, a holy banyan tree in [[Prayagraj]], which is believed to be indestructible.
