Radhika Gupta ka Work-Life Balance par Bada Statement!

Work-Life Balance par Radhika Gupta ke Views

Gender Biases

Unhone kaha, “One of the reasons mujhe yeh work-life debate unfair lagta hai woh yeh hai ki yeh mostly men se aata hai. Shayad mujhe troll kiya jayega iske liye, lekin hustle culture for women bahut different hai.”

CEO aur Mother ki Dual Role

Gupta ne apne personal experience ke baare mein bhi bataya. Unhone kaha, “Before I go to a board meeting, nanny mujhe batati hai ki diapers khatam ho gaye hain, toh main online order karti hoon aur phir OTP ke liye cranky hoti hoon. This is reality.”

Unhone Infosys ke Co-founder Narayana Murthy aur L&T chairman SN Subrahmanyan ke comments par bhi react kiya. Gupta ne kaha, “All the comments about ‘let’s work weekends’, ‘let’s work 70 hours a week’, ‘90 hours a week’… I’ve never seen one of these comments made by a woman, because we know it’s not possible.”

Time ki Kami

Gupta ne kaha ki itni high-ranking position aur resources hone ke baad bhi unke liye apne liye time nikalna mushkil hai. Unhone kaha, “Someone asked me in a previous interview, ‘What do you do to be fit?’ I don’t have time! I have a child, but I don’t have time. So, all the anti-work-life balance comments come from men. Now, troll me for it.”

Workforce Data

Goldman Sachs ki India Womenomics Report ke according, Indian workforce mein women ki participation men se significantly kam hai. Is gap ka main reason hai caregiving duties mein unka disproportionate share. Time Use Survey 2024 ke according, Indian women har din average 5 hours domestic aur caregiving responsibilities par spend karti hain, jo men ke 37 minutes se 8 times zyada hai.

2023 mein, women ne MSCI India companies mein sirf 16% workforce account kiya, jismein executive level par representation 8% tak drop ho gaya aur company boards par 18% tak pahunch gaya.
