Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) shayad Market Infrastructure Institutions (MIIs) ke liye apne naye governance niyam par phir se vichar karega. Suna hai ki kuch bade stock exchanges ko is plan se kuch strong aitraaz hain.
Exchanges ko Kya Problem Hai?
Exchanges apne aitraaz July 15 tak formally submit karne wale hain. SEBI ne June mein ek consultation paper nikala tha. Ismein unhone MIIs ke boards par do executive directors (EDs) ko key managerial personnel banane ka proposal rakha tha. Ye EDs managing director ke barabar rank hold karenge aur MII ke board aur SEBI dono ko jointly report karenge.
Leadership Structure mein Badlaav?
Exchanges ko dar hai ki is governance model se current leadership structure disturb ho sakta hai aur MD ki authority kam ho sakti hai. Ek senior exchange official ne NDTV Profit ko bataya ki isse ek dual power center ban sakta hai aur accountability kam ho sakti hai.
