Over 60 Animals Seized in Cabazon Due to Neglect, Owners Arrested

Riverside County authorities executed a search warrant at a Cabazon ranch, rescuing over 60 neglected animals and arresting the owners on suspicion of felony animal cruelty. The animals, including horses, dogs, and chickens, lacked access to proper food and water, particularly concerning during the recent heatwave. This incident follows a similar rescue of over 100 animals in Aguanga last week.

Over 100 Neglected Animals Rescued From Home During Nixon Fire

The Nixon Fire in Aguanga, California, led to the discovery of a home filled with over 100 animals in various states of neglect. The animals, ranging from livestock and dogs to reptiles and rodents, were found without food or water. Animal services officers seized the animals, which were all underweight and in need of medical care. The animals are now being cared for at the San Jacinto Valley Animal Shelter.
