Rajasthan University (RU) semester and final examinations for regular and non-collegiate students will be delayed due to the Lok Sabha elections. University Commerce College and Rajasthan College, two constituent colleges of the university, have been acquired by the election department, making their campuses unavailable for academic purposes. The delay will also likely impact new admissions. According to a senior university official, examinations will be postponed until the completion of the election process due to a lack of adequate infrastructure. While non-collegiate student exams are typically held during May-June, the college acquisition for polling will require exams to be conducted after June. Student organizations have suggested that a system similar to the internal examinations for regular first-year students in University Maharaja College could be developed for second-semester exams.
