On May 8th, 2024, Strathcona County RCMP responded to a suspicious vehicle fire on the Anthony Henday southbound near Wye Road around 6:15 a.m. The vehicle was engulfed in flames and was subsequently destroyed, with no injuries reported. Strathcona County Fire Services extinguished the fire, while the cause remains undetermined as RCMP seeks for any available dashcam footage from the time period of 5:50 a.m. to 6:15 a.m. in the area.
