Get ready to strut your stuff! Tampa Bay Fashion Week (TBFW) is back for its 17th year, and this time, the festivities are taking flight at Tampa International Airport. On Wednesday, September 18th, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., the airport’s Main Terminal will transform into a runway of style, showcasing the latest designs from some of Tampa Bay’s most talented creators.
This vibrant event, presented by WaypointeTPA, the airport’s curated collection of shops, restaurants, and services, promises a blend of fashion, shopping, and socializing. Attendees will get a sneak peek at exclusive capsule collections from renowned local designers like Aarushi Pratap, Global Girls Initiative by Aanya Patel, House of Colors by Sana Hassan, Observame by Karen Fultz-Robinson, That’s Key by Keyshonna Miller-McNeil, Urban Native by Erik Wise, and Zhanna Kens.
Beyond the runway, guests can indulge in culinary delights from TPA’s diverse dining options, including signature dishes from Ulele and Columbia, and sip on the airport’s signature cocktail. Tampa International Airport is also launching a special travel collection inspired by regional color trends, available for purchase pre-security at The Shoppes at Bayshore, The Runway/PGA Tour Shops, and Tampa Bay Sports/Mindworks.
To sweeten the deal, WaypointeTPA and Delta Airlines are partnering to reward one lucky attendee with a whopping $2,500 in Delta gift cards, a fitting tribute to TBFW and Delta’s renewed daily nonstop service to Amsterdam.
Nancy Vaughn, executive producer of TBFW and principal at White Book Agency, highlights the significance of the airport event: “The goal of most Fashion Weeks is to bring visibility to the participating designers. This year we’ll host our third event at Tampa International Airport and since 2019, TPA has purchased designer capsule collections that have sold exclusively at The Shoppes at Bayshore. They’ve recognized the talent of fashion and accessories designers in our region, understand the value of supporting local talent, and had the vision to truly capture the essence of our work and goals in our region’s fashion community.”
So, mark your calendars and get ready for a night of fashion, food, and fun, all set against the backdrop of Tampa International Airport. It’s an event not to be missed!
