Reports ke mutaabik, US President Donald Trump ne confidence dikhaya hai ki United States Greenland ko annex kar lega. Unhone hint diya ki NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte is acquisition mein important role play kar sakte hain.
’International security’ ke liye zaroori hai Greenland, Trump ji kehte hain
White House meeting mein, Trump ne Rutte se kaha ki US ko Greenland “international security” ke liye chahiye. Unhone future discussions ka bhi ishara diya. Trump ne kaha, “Well, I think it’ll happen…Mark, we need that for international security…We’ll be talking to you.”

Rutte ne China aur Russia ki Arctic mein badhti presence ko acknowledge kiya, lekin NATO ko Trump ke Greenland acquisition attempts se alag rakha. Unhone kaha, “When it comes to Greenland…I would leave that outside…this discussion because I don’t want to drag NATO in that.”

Trump ne Greenland ko “Greatest Nation anywhere in the World, the United States of America!” mein shaamil hone ka invitation diya. Unhone investment aur jobs create karne ka bhi wada kiya.

Reports ke hisaab se, Trump ne pehle bhi Greenland aur Panama Canal par control pane ke liye military action ka option open rakha tha. Unhone kaha ki US ko yeh “economic security” ke liye chahiye.
