Netflix is once again a major presence at the Annecy Film Festival, showcasing highly anticipated upcoming titles and hosting exclusive panels with renowned filmmakers. The streaming giant will unveil sneak peeks at films like “Wallace & Gromit,” “Spellbound,” and “Ultraman: Rising,” while presenting behind-the-scenes insights into acclaimed series such as “Arcane” and “Big Mouth.”
The still-untitled feature will see cheese-loving inventor Wallace design a “smart gnome” with a mind of its own, leading to adventures for Gromit and the family garden.
Netflix has reportedly canceled the prequel spin-off series ‘The Rats’, which focused on the group of misfits that Ciri joined at the end of Season 3. The spin-off was originally planned to consist of six to eight episodes, but only two months of filming were completed, resulting in only one or two episodes of footage. Netflix is said to have scrapped plans for an independent season after seeing early footage, opting to incorporate the story into Season 4 or release it as a short. This decision comes amid broader changes to the Witcher franchise, with the final three saga seasons being condensed into two.
