Mahit Sandhu claimed gold in the women’s 50-meter rifle 3-position, while Abhinav Deshwal set a world record in the men’s 25-meter standard pistol, earning him a gold medal and special recognition from the organizers.

India’s Paralympic medal count reached 16 as Deepthi Jeevanji won bronze in the women’s 400m (T20) race. Shooter Avani Lekhara narrowly missed out on a second medal, finishing fifth in the women’s 50m rifle 3 positions SH1 final. Bhagyashri Jadhav placed fifth in the women’s shot put (F34) event, while archer Pooja Jatyan’s campaign ended in the quarterfinals.
