Malayalam and Tamil cinema actor Bala was arrested by the Kadavanthra police on October 14, 2023, on charges of outraging the modesty of a woman and violating juvenile justice laws, according to local news platform Onmanorama. The charges stem from a complaint filed by his ex-wife, Amrutha Suresh.
Suresh alleged that Bala had subjected her to online harassment and posted videos that caused significant emotional distress to their daughter. The actor and his manager, Rajesh, were taken into custody from Bala’s Kochi flat.
