Tragedy has struck in Haryana, as a 12-year-old girl has committed suicide days after losing her beloved pet dog. The young girl’s mother said her daughter had stopped eating since the canine’s passing five days ago. The deceased, a Class 6 student, was found hanging by her mother, who immediately alerted the authorities. According to an NDTV report, a police official investigating the case stated that the girl had been extremely distressed since her dog’s death. The official remarked, “A 12-year-old girl hanged herself to death as her pet had died some days ago. She was extremely tensed since then, the family says.”
The devastated family shared that the pet dog had passed away only five days prior. The young girl had cherished the canine as her companion for three months and was visibly distraught following his loss. Her family reported that she had exhibited signs of depression and refused to eat, despite their attempts to comfort her. The 12-year-old’s grief appeared insurmountable.
On the day of the tragedy, the girl’s mother and sister had left home for a routine grocery trip, leaving the 12-year-old alone. Overwhelmed by her emotions, the young girl succumbed to despair and ended her own life.
The deceased’s mother shared the details of her daughter’s final days, recounting the profound love she had for her furry friend and the immense sadness his absence had caused her. She stated, “She had kept a pup for the last 3 months. She stopped eating after he died 5 days ago.” The heartbroken mother added, “When I had gone to buy vegetables, I received a call from my neighbors asking me to come home quickly as my daughter had died.”
