The 2024 NFL Draft kicked off with a bang as six quarterbacks were selected in the first round, a rare occurrence in recent drafts. Caleb Williams, the dynamic playmaker from USC, was the top overall pick by the Chicago Bears. Jayden Daniels, the elusive and versatile signal-caller from West Virginia, surprisingly went second to the Washington Commanders. Offensive linemen played a crucial role in the first round, providing the foundation for their respective teams’ offenses. Joe Alt, the massive and athletic tackle from Notre Dame, was selected by the Tennessee Titans at No. 12. Trevor Penning, the physical and powerful tackle from Northern Iowa, was taken by the New Orleans Saints at No. 28. Barton, the versatile and experienced guard from Duke, was selected by the Miami Dolphins at No. 18.

Trevor Lawrence, the former No. 1 overall pick from Jacksonville, was traded to the Indianapolis Colts for the No. 21 and No. 55 picks.
