2024 Paris Olympics: Key Dates, Tickets, and How to Watch
The 2024 Paris Olympic Games are fast approaching, with just months to go. Preparations for the opening ceremony and 329 medal events across 32 sports are well under way in the French capital. It last held the Games exactly 100 years ago, the second of three times it has hosted the sporting extravaganza after 1900.
The Games will commence on Wednesday, July 24, with football, rugby, handball, and archery tournaments starting before the opening ceremony on Friday, July 26. The Games will end on Sunday, August 11. Tickets are on sale now, and the cost can differ significantly from between roughly €24 (£21) and €2,400 (£2,100). For those in the UK and without tickets, the BBC is the official Olympic television broadcaster here and will broadcast the action on BBC Sport and BBC iPlayer. Eurosport may also broadcast some of the Games in the UK — online and on TV. Alternatively, anyone travelling abroad can watch the Games via virtual private networks (VPNs).
