A 40-year-old man with a criminal history was apprehended by the police for attempting to end the life of a woman during a failed robbery in Thane, Maharashtra.
The incident took place in Baneli village, Titwala area, around 1 pm on Monday, while she was in solitude and made an endeavor to steal her possessions, as disclosed by the official from the police control room, according to an official.
He mentioned that, in response to her resistance, the man purportedly used a knife to stab her multiple times.
The police revealed that the accused already has a history of multiple robbery cases filed against him in different police stations within the district.
