Saskatoon police officers have apprehended 48 tires with an estimated value of $24,000 during an investigation conducted on Tuesday. The tires were discovered within a storage locker and a U-Haul vehicle. The investigation commenced following a report received from the Regina Police Station, which suggested that an individual had employed a fraudulent identification document and credit cards to procure tires from a local dealership. Through the course of the investigation, officers were able to locate the stolen tires. Consequently, a 17-year-old male has been arrested and charged with theft and fraud, both involving amounts greater than $5,000. The investigation has revealed that the incidents of tire theft have taken place in various Saskatchewan communities, including Saskatoon, Regina, and Moose Jaw.
