Despite emphasizing his desire to keep Brandon Aiyuk off the trade block, 49ers general manager John Lynch acknowledged receiving inquiries about the star wide receiver. Aiyuk’s absence from the team’s offseason workout program and ongoing contract talks have fueled speculation, but Lynch remains firm in his stance.
Lynch stressed that Aiyuk is an integral part of the team’s plans and reiterated their intention to keep him for the long term. However, he did not dismiss the possibility of trade offers during the first round of the NFL Draft on Thursday, but stated that he does not anticipate Aiyuk’s departure.
