Tim Hortons Disputes Class Action Lawsuit Over Roll Up to Win Emails

Tim Hortons is dismissing a proposed class action lawsuit filed against the company over erroneous emails sent to participants in its Roll Up to Win promotion.

The lawsuit, launched by LPC Avocat Inc., alleges that approximately 500,000 customers received an email on April 17th stating they had won a boat valued at $64,000.

Tim Hortons claims the email was a result of human error and quickly notified affected customers of the mistake. The company expressed regret for the inconvenience caused and believes the lawsuit is without merit.

The proposed lawsuit seeks damages and the awarding of the boat to the affected individuals. However, the lawsuit has yet to be certified.
