On Monday afternoon, a tragic incident unfolded in Delhi’s Dayal Market, located in the Alipur area, when a tempo driver met an untimely demise, and another individual sustained injuries after unknown assailants launched a barrage of gunfire upon them.
The deceased victim, Narendra Malik, succumbed to his injuries after being shot multiple times. Reports indicate that he had a history of involvement in a robbery case in 2017 and an Arms Act case in 2019. His associate, Tarun, suffered a gunshot wound to his leg and is currently receiving medical attention at Satyawadi Raja Harishchandra Hospital in Narela.
Initial investigations suggest that intergang rivalry may have been a motivating factor in the attack, as Malik was reportedly a member of the notorious Gogi gang. Law enforcement authorities have initiated an FIR (First Information Report) and assembled six dedicated teams to apprehend the assailants. The investigation is currently ongoing, with the objective of identifying and bringing the perpetrators to justice.
