Todd and Julie Chrisley, along with their son Grayson, are embroiled in yet another legal battle. This time, their son Grayson has been accused of causing a car accident due to negligent driving.
Patrick Rykwalder has filed a lawsuit against Todd, Julie, Grayson, and Savannah Chrisley, alleging that Grayson caused the accident on November 12, 2022. Savannah was included in the lawsuit as Grayson’s joint legal guardian, while Todd and Julie owned the pickup truck that Grayson was driving.
According to Rykwalder, he was driving his 2020 Dodge Ram on Interstate 65 in Tennessee when Grayson, who was driving his parents’ Ford 5150 pickup truck, crashed into the back of his stopped car. Rykwalder claims that Grayson was a “distracted driver” who was “not paying attention to the roadway” when the accident occurred.
Rykwalder further alleges that Grayson “failed to act appropriately under the circumstances,” such as maintaining a safe distance from other vehicles and avoiding distractions from electronic devices. He contends that “had Defendant, Grayson M. Chrisley, been paying attention to the roadway in front of him this crash would not have occurred.”
Rykwalder is seeking damages ranging from $25,000 to $750,000, as well as punitive damages.
