Jacob Roberts, formerly of ‘Hollyoaks,’ is making a comeback to soap opera as a key figure in Lauren Bolton’s disappearance plot in ‘Coronation Street.’
Roberts played the beloved yet troubled Damon Kinsella in the Chester-based soap from 2017 to 2023, when he was let go as part of a cast reduction. He’s now set to take on a new character in Corrie’s Lauren Bolton disappearance storyline, and he’s already begun filming on the cobbles.
According to an exclusive source for The Sun, ‘Corrie bosses were highly impressed with Jacob in his audition and he landed the part straight away.’
‘He’s developing a great rapport with the cast and will undoubtedly make an impact on viewers when he appears on screen in a few weeks,’ they added.
In upcoming episodes, the enigmatic new character will have significant interactions with Lauren (Cait Fitton), as well as Corrie’s police duo Craig Tinker (Colson Smith) and DS Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers).
