Steam Deck Right-Click Guide
Desktop Mode
To right-click in desktop mode, press the L2 trigger button on the left-hand side of the handheld. This will bring up additional drop-down menus and accessibility options.
Gaming Mode
Right-clicking in gaming mode involves pressing the ‘Steam’ and ‘L2’ buttons simultaneously. However, their positioning can make this awkward. To simplify, press the ‘Options’ button (above the right stick) to bring up the same menu options.
Remapping Right-Click
To remap right-click on the Steam Deck, access the handheld’s settings, navigate to ‘Controller,’ and select ‘Desktop Layout.’ Edit ‘Gamepad with Joystick Trackpad,’ select ‘R2 Standard Analog Trigger,’ and assign ‘Add command’ to ‘Right Mouse Click’ under the ‘Mouse’ tab.
