Bhavesh Shekhawat, Simranpreet Kaur Brar Win at Olympic Shooting Trials

During the Olympic Selection Trials held in New Delhi on Monday, Bhavesh Shekhawat and Simranpreet Kaur Brar emerged victorious in the men’s 25m rapid-fire pistol (RFP) and women’s 25m pistol OST T2 trials, respectively.

Shekhawat’s impressive performance in the RFP final earned him a score of 34, surpassing Anish Bhanwala (29) and Vijayveer Sidhu (22). Adarsh Singh and Ankur Goel secured the fourth and fifth positions with scores of 17 and 13, respectively.

In the women’s pistol event, Simranpreet Kaur Brar continued her success with a remarkable 37-hit performance across 10 series of five-shot attempts. Despite the strong showing of Olympian Manu Bhaker, who finished with 35 hits, Brar’s steady precision earned her the win.

Esha Singh claimed the third podium spot with 30 hits, followed by Rhythm Sangwan (24) and Abhidnya Patil (16), who finished fourth and fifth respectively.
