A weekend crash on Highway 400 in Cookstown, Ontario, left a car destroyed after it collided with the guardrail.
The single-vehicle collision occurred at approximately 5 a.m. on Saturday at the intersection of Highway 400 and Highway 89. The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle was identified as a 36-year-old man from Barrie.
Ontario Provincial Police charged the driver with impaired driving, obstructing a peace officer, and driving without insurance. The vehicle was impounded for seven days and the driver’s license was suspended for 90 days.
