Actor Danny Cunningham, best known for his role as the villainous Connor in Emmerdale, is joining the cast of ITV’s Coronation Street in a guest role. Cunningham will play Denny, the estranged father of twins Paul and Gemma.
It is unclear whether or not Cunningham’s character will be as villainous as his previous role, but an insider told The Sun that fans will be surprised to see a familiar face popping up on the cobbles.
This is not Cunningham’s first time in Weatherfield. He previously played Jimmy Skyes, the brother of Linda Baldwin, in the early noughties. He has also had roles in Soldier Solider, Holby City, Waterloo Road, Last Tango in Halifax, Grange Hill, and 24 Hour Party People.
Most recently, Cunningham has enthralled audiences with his menacing turn as Connor in Emmerdale. The character has threatened and terrorized his way around the Weatherby Dales.
Coronation Street has been contacted for comment but is unavailable at this time.
