Syracuse Common Council unanimously approved an agreement with Jenoptik North America to establish speed and traffic light enforcement systems in school zones and on school buses. The program aims to improve safety for students by monitoring compliance with speed limits and bus stop arm regulations. The installation and operation of these devices will be funded by fines collected from those who violate the laws.
