Iranian fighter Alireza Heibati was ejected from the Hard Fighting Championship (HFC) after a disturbing incident before his bout over the weekend.
The altercation occurred at the Hardcore Fighting Championship where Heibati faced off against Arkady Osipyan on Friday night. However, before the fight could even begin, Heibati’s actions shocked everyone in attendance.
As a ring girl walked past holding up a card signaling the start of the opening round, Heibati kicked her in the leg. The referee intervened and warned Heibati about his conduct.
Despite the warning, Heibati continued to act aggressively. After the fight, he aimed another kick, this time at head height towards a commentator, before engaging in a heated exchange of words.
In response to the incident, the HFC released a statement condemning Heibati’s actions and announcing that he had been ejected from the organization. The HFC also stated that they would be providing counseling to the ring girl, Maria, who was the victim of Heibati’s assault.
The shocking incident has prompted widespread condemnation within the MMA community. Many fighters and fans have taken to social media to express their disgust at Heibati’s actions and to call for him to be banned from the sport.
