Colorado Buffs Add Experience to Offense with Dallan Hayden’s Commitment

Dallan Hayden, a former Ohio State running back, has verbally committed to the University of Colorado Buffaloes, bringing experience and depth to their offense. Hayden, a 5-foot-10, 205-pound sophomore, spent two seasons at Ohio State, rushing for 663 yards and six touchdowns. He played in the Buckeyes’ College Football Playoff semifinal game against Georgia in his freshman year, rushing for 43 yards on nine carries.

Hayden’s addition fills the void left by Alton McCaskill IV, who entered the transfer portal recently. He joins a running back room that includes senior Sy’veon Wilkerson, sophomore Dylan Edwards, true freshman Micah Welch, and junior walk-on Charlie Offerdahl.

While the Buffs have gained a valuable asset in Hayden, they have also lost players to the transfer portal. Cornerback Adam Hopkins and defensive end JJ Hawkins have both decided to leave the program after one season. Hopkins, a true freshman, played in three games, mostly on special teams, and recorded four tackles. Hawkins, a transfer from Mississippi, played in 10 games and registered five tackles.
