Rapper Jhayco ignited a feud over the weekend, accusing Puerto Rican artist Mora and Colombian singer J Balvin of being fake friends during an Instagram Live session.
Jhayco first took aim at Mora, with whom he has collaborated in the past. He accused Mora of spreading rumors and sharing secrets that had been confided in him, claiming that Mora was not a true friend.
Jhayco then turned his attention to Balvin, alleging that the Colombian singer had copied parts of his creative image and artistic concepts. Specifically, Jhayco pointed to a bat symbol that he has been using to promote his upcoming album era, which he claims Balvin has imitated.
Jhayco emphasized that his issue was with Balvin as an individual, not with Colombians in general. He has previously engaged in public feuds, including a heated exchange with Puerto Rican star Rauw Alejandro in 2021.
Balvin has also faced criticism in the industry, notably from Puerto Rican rapper Residente who accused him of commercializing music and likened it to making hot dogs.
