Dallas Weather: Sunny Week Ahead, Weekend Storms Possible

Dallas is set for a beautiful start to the week, with sunny skies and temperatures warming back to normal or a little above normal. Highs will be at or around 80° through the weekend, and humidity will also be on the rise.

However, the pattern is expected to take a flip into the active status starting late next week, with several upper-level disturbances moving in a favorable way for thunderstorms.

Thursday’s storm chances look to be west/northwest of North Texas closer to the dryline. North Texas is likely to have a strong cap, which could prevent any storms that try to move into the area from developing.

Friday sees a better chance for thunderstorms, mainly during the daytime hours. A round of storms is expected to move across the area from west to east during the day, and some of those storms could be strong to severe, with the main threat being hail and wind.

Both days this weekend will feature chances for thunderstorms, but it does not look like rain is expected all weekend long. As of now, the best chances for storms appear to be later in the day Saturday, Saturday night, and Sunday morning, but exact details are still uncertain.

Once again, some storms could be severe, so if you have plans this weekend, make sure to stay weather aware!
