Patrick Warburton, the voice of Joe Swanson on the animated comedy ‘Family Guy,’ has a unique relationship with his parents when it comes to the show. While most parents offer support and encouragement to their children’s endeavors, Warburton’s parents have been vocal critics of ‘Family Guy’ since its inception 25 years ago.
Warburton’s father, a devout individual, spent three months in a monastery and nearly became a monk. His mother, a member of the American Television Council, distributed pamphlets condemning masturbation and campaigned to have ‘Family Guy’ canceled.
