Tyler Schiller, the Doncaster Mile-winning jockey, has a promising list of seven rides at the upcoming Newcastle meeting on Wednesday. Leading the charge is Inquisitive Legend, who recently won under Jay Ford at Newcastle and will be ridden by Schiller in The Prince Of Merewether Midway Class 1 Handicap (1250m). Schiller’s day begins with Ana Carolina in the Living Turf Maiden Plate (1890m), a filly trained by John O’Shea who is expected to perform well after three runs back from a break. He will also ride Queen Of A Hand in the New Era Technology 2YO Maiden Plate (900m), a horse with two barrier trials in preparation for her debut. The Freedman brothers will enlist Schiller’s services for Zoubaby in the Hungerford Hill Wines Maiden Handicap (900m). Zoubaby, who has four trials under her belt, will make her race debut. Schiller has also been booked to ride two Chris Waller-trained horses: Determination in the NZB Karaka 20 June Sale Maiden Handicap (1400m) and Buffett in the Sharp Office Maiden Plate (1250m). Determination, after placing unfavorably in two city runs, showed promise in his Canterbury debut. Buffett, making his debut, has had several trials, including a recent fifth at Rosehill.
