Tripura’s parliamentary affairs minister and BJP veteran, Ratan Lal Nath, announced a ₹2 lakh reward for the booth with the highest voter turnout percentage in the Khowai Assembly constituency during the second phase of polling on April 26th.
“Any booth under Khowai assembly constituency that gets the highest votes in terms of percentage, I, personally shall give that booth organisation ₹2 lakh as a reward. Any booth that can get the highest gap in terms of percentage… that booth will be given ₹2 lakh,” Nath stated at a booth meeting in Khowai district.
Nath expressed confidence that the opposition INDIA bloc alliance would face defeat in the Lok Sabha polls. He alleged that the opposition failed to provide polling agents during the first phase of Lok Sabha polling in the West Tripura constituency on April 19th.
“They shall face defeat- a hundred percent. And there is a possibility of losing the security deposit on their part in this seat as well (like West Tripura seat),” Nath said.
