Trubbish, the trash bag Pokémon from Unova, has made its way into the wild in Pokémon Go, and shiny hunters rejoice — it can also be found in its shiny form.
While neither Trubbish nor its evolved form Garbodor are particularly meta-relevant in either PvE or PvP, Garbodor does have some niche uses in certain PvP leagues. However, as Pokémon, they deserve just as much love and care as any other.
The shiny rate for Pokémon on a regular day is approximately one in 500, according to research by The Silph Road. Trubbish is not confirmed to have a “permaboost,” meaning that its shiny rate is not permanently increased.
Shiny Pokémon catch rates are set by developer Niantic and are typically only boosted during special events like Community Days or Safari Zones, or in Legendary Raids. There are no consumable items that can boost shiny Pokémon rates.
