Karylle, Sue Ramirez, Nyoy Volante, and Reb Atadero have been cast in the Manila staging of the Broadway musical ‘Little Shop of Horrors.’
The Sandbox Collective announced the cast line-up on Instagram on Monday, April 21, with the musical’s stylish poster.
‘How far would you go for love?’ they wrote in the caption. ‘When meek florist Seymour falls for his co-worker Audrey, love becomes a lot more gruesome than one would have expected.’
Karylle and Ramirez will both star as Audrey, while Volante and Atadero will play Seymour.
Karylle recently graced the stage as Baroness Elsa von Schraeder in the Manila run of ‘The Sound of Music’ in 2023. Atadero is currently playing Mark Cohen in 9 Works Theatrical’s ‘Rent.’ Volante, who was last seen on stage five years ago, is set to make his comeback in theater. Ramirez is set to mark her theatrical debut as Audrey.
The rest of the cast has yet to be unveiled. The show will run from July to August 2024 at the Globe Auditorium, Maybank Performing Arts Theater, BGC. Exact show dates and ticket details will be released soon.
